Shank & Circle: External Hangers for Half Round Gutters
Installing half round gutters with external hangers adds a rustic look to any home. It is important to remember that not every house has the same roof pitch or mounting scenario. These can dictate the type of external hanger needed for the install. The various hanger configurations available can be overwhelming. At Senox, we’re here to help!
Know the Hanger You Need
FASCIA MOUNTED, Shank Plate: 6/12 Roof pitch shown. Jobs with a steep roof pitch or small fascia board may need #10 or #30 shank.
6″ #10 Combo w/ Spring, fastened with Speed Master® Screws.
FASCIA MOUNTED, Shank with 6″ Fascia Board: 12/12 Roof pitch shown. Jobs with a pitch greater than 12/12 or with a fascia board of less than 6” will require an extension shank.
6″ Circle w/ Spring, #10 Shank for Flat Fascia Mounting, fastened with Speed Master® Screws.
RAFTER MOUNTED, Shank & Circle with Square Cut Rafter Tails: 6/12 Roof pitch shown. Jobs with rafter tails rather than a fascia boards will require the use of a rafter mounted shank.
6″ Circle w/ Spring, #11 Shank Exposed Rafter, fastened with Speed Master® Screws.
ROOF MOUNTED, Shank & Circle with Recessed Fascia Board: 6/12 Roof pitch shown. Jobs with a pitch of 6/12 or greater will require an extension shank.
6″ Circle w/ Spring, #12 Shank Sheeting 1/3 Pitch, fastened with Speed Master® Screws.
FASCIA MOUNTED, Shank & Circle with Angled Fascia Board: 6/12 Roof pitch shown. Jobs with a pitch of 8/12 or greater will require an extension shank.
6″ Circle w/ Spring, #30 Shank Adjustable Pitch, fastened with Speed Master® Screws.
FASCIA MOUNTED, Shank & Circle for OG Crown Molding: 6/12 Roof pitch shown. Jobs with a pitch of 8/12 or greater will require an extension shank.
6″ Circle w/ Spring, #6 Shank for OG Crown Molding, fastened with Speed Master® Screws.
